Do you waterproof before setting pool and spa tile?
Yes. Submerged and wet areas get a proper waterproofing membrane that meets ANSI A118.10, such as RedGard or Laticrete Hydro Ban, before any tile goes down. Skipping that step is the most common cause of pool tile failure.
What is coping and do you install it?
Coping is the cap along the top edge of the pool that finishes the shell and covers the bond beam. We install travertine, quartzite, and porcelain coping that sheds water, stays cooler underfoot, and gives the pool a clean edge.
Will the deck be slippery when wet?
